The Learning Resources Centers Provide:
- Online access at the LRC homepage at http://www2.piedmontcc.edu/lrc;
- Printed materials which include over 16,332 volumes, more than 155 periodicals, and 3,177 volumes of audiovisual materials;
- iLink (online catalog) and electronic databases;
- Computer lab for research and software which includes Microsoft® Word and others; and
- Library instruction of resources for groups and/or individuals.
What is iLink?
- Library public access catalog (PAC) on the web;
- Community college libraries in North Carolina, linked through a state-wide communications network and computer system;
- Provides access to over 1.8 million items owned by the 46 member libraries;
- Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; and

The Learning Resources Centers
of Piedmont Community College:
- Seek to serve the students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community;
- Are part of the North Carolina Community College System;
- Provide materials and diverse services to all levels of students, faculty, staff, and community members;
- Provide instruction to the campus community to develop and promote information literacy. In order to serve the needs of differing social, economic, and cultural/ethnic groups, the LRCs also actively seek innovation and cooperation and networking with area and regional businesses; and
- Are media centers in which all formats of knowledge are collected, organized, and disseminated, and where independent learning occurs.
Mission
The Learning Resources Centers provide learning opportunities that enable students to achieve their potential and that serve the needs of different social, economic, and cultural/ethnic groups.
Goals
- To serve Piedmont Community College and its community by organizing, managing, and delivering information resources and services
- To provide innovative library services that support information literacy for curriculum, career, and personal development
- To collaborate with college and community partners to serve a wide range of educational needs
- To partner with other academic institutions and consortia to promote and enhance access to library resources and services
